During the public participation portion of the meeting, a staff member offered brief remarks thanking the board for attending, noting housekeeping steps to ensure July 1 salary payments and reserve deposits proceed, and offering condolences for an employee who died earlier that day.
“It’s, a little housekeeping as we wanted to make sure that we were on track for July 1 in salaries, payments, and the deposits of our reserves,” the Staff member said, adding condolences for the employee’s family. The Staff member also noted, “Oh, and Wendy’s last meeting,” prompting applause and brief farewell remarks from board members.
Board members and attendees exchanged congratulations and farewells for Wendy. The Chair then moved to adjourn the special meeting; a subsequent second was recorded and the board voted in favor to adjourn.
