DeWitt County Board approves amendments to solar and commercial wind ordinances

On March 19 the DeWitt County Board approved amendments to two sections of the county zoning code addressing utility-scale energy development. Carter, reporting from the Land Use committee, moved to adopt a resolution amending Chapter 157 (Solar Energy Systems); the motion, seconded by Ryan, passed on recorded ayes.
The board immediately followed with a separate motion, also moved by Carter and seconded by Ryan, to amend Chapter 153 governing commercial wind energy conversion. Both resolutions passed with all members recorded as voting aye. The minutes note the Land Use committee minutes are filed with the meeting record.
