CAPSA announces Idaho expansion and rolls out SAFE curriculum for adults who work with youth

A CAPSA representative told the Preston City Council the nonprofit is now operating in Idaho and is assigning a local community liaison to support survivors and prevention programming.
Alina Arling, introduced at the dais, said, "CAPSA is now officially, working up in Idaho," and announced Julie Buxton will serve as a community liaison full time in the coming weeks. Arling described a prevention curriculum called "Change Your Conversations," explaining "the acronym is SAFE," and urged the council and community leaders to share the program's flyer with parents, educators and religious leaders who work with youth.
In response to questions, Arling said CAPSA is working to coordinate with state legislators and plans visits to nearby cities in the county to expand services. The presentation emphasized outreach, survivor support and training to reduce barriers such as embarrassment, fear and uncertainty about where to seek help.
