The Sidney Community School District Board approved two facilities contracts on July 20 to address HVAC and humidity issues at the high school. Trustees approved a quote from A One Geothermal to repair the geothermal HVAC system; they also approved a Jones Mechanical quote to install and program controllers that centralize multiple heat‑pump units to a single thermostat in the high-school gym.
Motions on both items carried unanimously (5 ayes to 0 nays). Superintendent Michael Brown’s maintenance update to the board had identified geothermal repair, gym floor sealing and other projects as priorities for summer work. Minutes do not include dollar amounts for the geothermal or controller quotes.
