City outlines repaving, rebuild and park projects; $35,000 KYTC assistance approved for Sky Drive

City Administrator Mark Collier reviewed capital work underway and planned for Erlanger. He said the repaving of Graves Avenue (Dixie to Baker) and all of Home Street will include full-depth repair and curb replacement, McAlpin and Hope Lane received bids and were awarded to a low bidder (after another bid was withdrawn), and Linwood Avenue will be a complete rebuild slated for the fall. Collier noted the dog park is open and receiving positive feedback.
In legislation, council adopted a resolution approving a memorandum of agreement with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for $35,000 in assistance on the Sky Drive project; Collier credited project administrator Pierce Turner for preparing the grant application and documentation that secured the funding. Collier also announced Locust Street Park construction was awarded to Tumlin & Sol's Sons and the city's Eons maintenance building will proceed in coordination with Vioxx and Radius Construction.
