A council member moved to remove agenda item 4 — a memorandum of understanding with Eons — from the August 4 agenda, saying council members and the public had insufficient time to review the document. The member said the packet containing the MOU was handed out only shortly before the prior caucus meeting and the public had very limited access to view the document online.
The motion was seconded and taken by roll-call vote. The clerk recorded three votes in favor and two opposed; the mayor announced, "Agenda number 4 is removed." The member who made the motion told colleagues, "I would like this item added to the agenda for our next caucus meeting if it's removed from the agenda tonight," and asked that the document be discussed in a public forum so questions could be posed and public feedback solicited.
