The Mercer County Board voted unanimously to adopt the county's 2026 budget and accept the proposed 2026 levy during its Dec. 2, 2025 meeting. The board also approved December claims totaling $663,715.57 and a December HRA payment of $1,850.60; recorded votes on those motions were 6-0.
Board minutes show the motion to pay December claims was made by Gary Gregg and seconded by Chris DeMink, and the HRA payment motion was moved by Tim Arbet and seconded by DeMink. The motion to accept the 2026 budget was made by Chris DeMink, seconded by Meredith Morrison; the proposed levy was accepted on a motion by Morrison, seconded by Gary Gregg. No votes in opposition or abstentions were recorded.
