Senators Debate Independent Private Instruction; Amendment to Remove IPI Defeated

Senator Green (Senator from Boone) opposed the deletion, defending IPI families and arguing the provision has been part of prior bipartisan reform. Senator Kornbach warned of opportunists issuing diplomas of questionable value and urged a yes vote; the amendment failed on a roll call of 16 aye, 30 nay.
