Bay Village moves forward on shoreline improvements as Army Corps permit and grants align

The department said the grant applications are competitive and the scoring favors projects with strong local matching funds. "This is a very, competitive grant and, just missed out on it last year... It would usually be between 2 to 2,500,000," one parks presenter said, describing the grant-range expectations. Staff listed secured and pending funding sources including federal Land and Water Conservation funds, ODNR Clean Ohio Trails, county contributions and pending submissions to other state programs.
Council expressed support and noted the Phase 1 Lakefront Master Plan remains a priority; staff will continue to pursue grant matches and present final numbers for council adoption of any resolutions or contracts.
