Peekskill accepts $10 million Mid‑Hudson Momentum award to fund housing infrastructure

"This resolution authorizes the city manager to accept a $10,000,000 Mid Hudson Momentum award from the New York State Empire State Development to fund essential infrastructure for housing," Deputy Mayor Riley said when moving the resolution. The measure was approved by voice vote. City staff signaled they will integrate the award into upcoming capital projects and coordinate required grant reporting and contracting steps with state officials.
Separately, the city manager also described related development efforts including an EDA‑authorized $2,400,000 kitchen incubator project and other DRI initiatives meant to coordinate infrastructure and economic development spending.
