Preston honors girls and boys basketball teams and local broadcasters

The Preston City Council paused its regular agenda to present plaques to the Girls Academic State Champion team and to acknowledge the boys’ state basketball championship. Council Member Chris Larson introduced the girls’ awards and invited Coach Heuser and players up for individual recognition and photographs.
Coach Jones and several student‑athletes accepted praise from the mayor and council. Local radio announcer Dan Hubbard also spoke, thanking the community and the council for supporting school broadcasts: "They make it fun to come to games, and the support of the community... is 2nd to none," he said. Council members congratulated the teams and invited a group photo before moving on to municipal business.
