Surgoinsville approves snow-plow parts, HVAC and fleet invoices; one member abstains
Summary

The board approved several operational purchases and invoices during the Dec. 9 meeting. Vice‑Mayor Jarnagin moved to authorize procurement of snow plow adapter brackets and wiring for the 2018 Dodge 3500 and Alderman Bishop seconded; the motion passed by roll call.
The board also approved an HVAC service invoice from Brinegar Heating & Air Conditioning for $1,050 to repair a heat pump at 1034 Main Street, and approved ITH Fleet Maintenance Invoice #519 for $5,000.00 and Invoice #540 for $2,085.31 for service on the 2022 Freightliner garbage truck. Alderman Collier recorded an abstention on the ITH approvals; motions were moved by Vice‑Mayor Jarnagin and seconded by Alderman Bishop.
Finally, the board authorized Police Chief Hammonds to purchase a laptop for the Sewer Department to interface with the flowmeter; Alderman Mierek seconded the motion and a roll call vote approved it.
