The Marseilles Elementary School District #150 Board of Education on May 22 approved a slate of staff hires and transfers and accepted resignations as part of routine personnel business.
On a motion by Board member Julie Morey, seconded by Brad Miller, the board approved pending hires and transfers including Evalyn Mateski (music teacher); Jessica Corsby and Emmalee Crosby (shared 5th–6th grade cheer); Lexi Baudino (volleyball coach); Braelin Rice (2nd to 3rd grade); Bejan Roumi (1st to 2nd grade); and Brittanee Callahan (Kindergarten to Pre-K). The motion passed with votes from Barnes, Miller, Morey and Thomas; Cherise Byone recorded an abstention.
The board also unanimously accepted resignations from Nani Torres, a part-time custodian, and Anna Schiefelbein, a Pre-K paraprofessional and volleyball coach, on a motion by Morey and seconded by Miller. Later in the meeting, the board approved an intent to retire from special education teacher Sarah Manz, effective at the end of the 2026–2027 school year; that motion was moved by Vicki Thomas and seconded by Cherise Byone and passed unanimously.
These personnel motions were recorded as formal votes during the May 22 meeting and will proceed pending any required licensure and successful background checks.
