Parents and coaches ask Amelia supervisors to bless expanded youth baseball use of county fields

"We are just asking for your blessing today to use the fields," Coward said.
Supporters including Avery Goff and Will Dunford described the historic role of Amelia Diamond Youth Baseball and emphasized a desire for more options rather than replacing existing organizations. Goff said the program has served local children for more than 50 years and urged the board to preserve successful community-run efforts rather than shift costs to taxpayers.
