Bay Village places 2027 tax budget on first reading; no levy changes proposed

Councilman Peter J. Winzig read a memorandum from Finance Director Jim Milton explaining the Ohio Revised Code requirement that Council adopt a tax budget by July 15 and outlining the structure of the 2027 tax budget. Winzig said the Finance team's recommendation includes no changes to any tax levies or millage for 2027.
Winzig recommended placing the resolution on first reading this evening with anticipated adoption in June, and President Clark recommended proceeding on two readings to allow for public review and inspection. A copy of the proposed budget will be made available on the City website and at the reception desk before final adoption and submission to the Cuyahoga County Budget Commission.
