Sheridan County commissioners approved a lease with AR Inc. to provide approximately 12 square feet of floor space in the airport terminal and associated rooftop space for installation and operation of aircraft communications equipment (ACARS).
Sheridan County Airport Manager Robert Gill described the agreement and terms, saying the lease applies to a small portion of the terminal and rooftop and will support ACARS functions used by airlines and flight crews. "This lease agreement applies for approximately 12 square feet of floor space in the piano room of the airport Terminal building for air knuckle radio equipment cabinet along with additional rooftop space," Gill said. The agreement has an initial 12‑month term with automatic renewals and a $150 monthly lease rate with a 2% annual increase; either party may terminate with 90 days' notice. The board approved the lease and authorized the chair to sign.
