Council approves consent calendar totaling $1.96 million and closes out park and arboretum projects

On June 9 the council approved vendor and benefit payments totaling $1,956,907.72, accepted Lake Wilderness Arboretum Irrigation (Phase 3) and Take-A-Break Park Playground projects for closeout, and authorized a Public Works contract for the S-32 Maple Woods Pond Retrofit with Rivers Edge Environmental Services, Inc.
The Maple Valley City Council approved the consent calendar on June 9, which included vendor and benefit checks, payroll and transfers totaling $1,956,907.72. The consent calendar motion was made by Councilmember Victoria Schroff and seconded by Councilmember John Herbert; the vote carried 7-0.
The consent calendar also included Resolution No. R-25-1970 accepting the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Irrigation (Phase 3) Project and directing the City Manager to close out the project, Resolution No. R-25-1975 accepting the Take-A-Break Park Playground Project (P33) for closeout, and authorization (Resolution No. R-25-1983) for the City Manager to execute a Public Works contract with Rivers Edge Environmental Services, Inc. for the S-32 Maple Woods Pond Retrofit Project and to administer a 10% construction contingency.
