Commissioners adopt resolution to apportion Secure Rural Schools funds

County Treasurer Katie Harris told the board that a notice of intent to adopt Resolution 26-06-041 was approved April 7, 2026, and that the public comment period produced no comments. "Unless there are questions, I respectfully request adoption of resolution 26-06-041," she said, asking the board to approve the formal apportionment and distribution of funds the county receives under the federal program.
Commissioner Jennings moved to adopt and authorize the chair to sign the resolution; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The resolution, if implemented, will establish how the county will apportion Secure Rural Schools funds it receives annually under Title 3 of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act and in accordance with Wyoming statute.
