The Blackhawk County Board of Supervisors on Aug. 4 approved a resolution authorizing payment of $310,975.68 in bills and $2,999.96 for the sixty-forty fund.
Miss Weidner, who presented the claims, told the board: "Our total bill payment today is $310,975.68." Several supervisors asked whether itemized invoices are available on the county website. Staff replied that claims are included in the minutes and posted online after the board approves them in meeting, and that the published version of the minutes contains the claims.
One supervisor urged staff to make a direct, clickable link to the claims on the county website so residents can view the same invoice list without a newspaper subscription. Staff and board members discussed balancing publishing timelines and staff workload; no change to the publication process was made during the meeting.
The resolution was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call.
