Tinicum signs on as consulting party for Clay Ridge Road Bridge #30 review

The Board authorized and ratified submitting the Section 106 consulting party response for Bridge #30 (Clay Ridge Road over Beaver Creek), a county-owned bridge whose replacement has triggered historic-preservation review because of its proximity to the Ridge Valley Historic District. The Board voted to approve the form and forward it to reviewing agencies (motion passed unanimously).
Resident Kathryn Auerbach told the Board the bridge contributes to the National Register historic district and dates to 1906–1909, urging careful restoration to avoid design changes that would undermine historic value. Manager Judith Danko said she would ensure interested residents and commission members are included in future communications about the Section 106 review.
