Maui County staff reported the initial meeting with Guidehouse, the selected consultant for an organizational study, was held on June 1 and described the session as productive.
"The initial meeting with the selected consultant team from Guidehouse was held on June 1 and was productive," Director Cynthia Razo-Porter told the Civil Service Commission on June 3. She also informed the Commission of her planned retirement and said, "I will continue to support the project during my transition, including providing my experiences and institutional knowledge to assist with the process."
Commissioners discussed coordinating the Director's feedback on evaluation materials with the RFP process and ensuring stakeholders are invited to future project meetings. The Commission did not set a formal RFP schedule at the meeting; staff said stakeholders will be notified when meeting dates are established.
The consultant engagement is tied to a referenced $1.2 million RFP budget; procurement and schedule details will be developed with Guidehouse and reported back to the Commission in subsequent meetings.
