The meeting notice specifies procedures for public input. "Oral testifiers are afforded three (3) minutes to testify," the agenda states. Oral testimony on any agenda item will be accepted before that item is discussed or as determined by the chair; video testifiers should sign up via a direct message to the Commission Secretary in the Teams chat. Phone testifiers will be called after video testimony has concluded, and in-person testifiers will be called after phone testimony.
Written testimony may be emailed to Civilservicecommission@co.maui.hi.us or mailed to 200 S. High Street, Wailuku; the notice requests that written testimony be received at least 48 hours before the meeting to ensure distribution to commissioners and asks for eight hard-copy copies if delivered at the meeting.
