Council convened in executive session under 25 O.S. § 307(B)(1) to consider the possible employment of Brigham Batey for the Public Works Department. After reconvening in open session, the council voted to employ Batey at $13.00 per hour with a six-month probationary period, effective at the next pay period.
The vote was unanimous among members present. The council also announced a special meeting on May 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. for a budget workshop; City Attorney Beth Anne Childs said she will meet with Saint Francis regarding ARPA invoices prior to that meeting.
