Council tables approval of ARPA-funded Saint Francis hospital equipment purchases

City Attorney said a long list of hospital equipment purchases funded with ARPA State Funds would require organization and possible sole-source procurement; the council voted to table the item to June 15 for further review.
City Attorney Beth Anne Childs described a lengthy list of proposed purchases for Saint Francis Bristow Hospital to be funded by ARPA State Funds, including stretchers, airways towers, patient monitoring systems, an MRI or MRI trailer, CT machine, ultrasound equipment and other clinical devices. She said some items may be sole-sourced and that she and staff were coordinating with Saint Francis to ensure compliance.
Treasurer Ashley Hinshaw responded, "nothing that she is aware of" had been spent since Saint Francis assumed management. The council voted to table agenda item #16 to the June 15 meeting to allow additional organization, vendor review and legal checks before any purchase approvals.
