The Bristow Municipal Authority voted May 4 to award the South Maple Street Water and Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure construction contract to the lowest responsive bidder, Timco Blasting & Coating, Inc., at $759,783.
Trustee Judd Johns moved to accept the recommendation of Holloway, Updike & Bellen (HUB) and to authorize a construction contract with Timco Blasting & Coating, Inc.; Trustee Joe Church seconded the motion. The roll call vote was unanimous among trustees present (Church, Fletcher, Green, Groom, Johns, Livingston and Roberts), and the motion passed.
Bids on the project ranged from Timco Blasting & Coating, Inc.'s low bid of $759,783.00 to high bids exceeding $1.18 million; the authority recorded no abstentions and one absent trustee, Kevin Deshazo. Staff and consultants recommended the low, responsive bidder and the authority authorized staff to finalize contract documents in accordance with HUB's recommendation.
