Bristow council ratifies collective bargaining agreements with police and firefighters

Following an executive session on May 4, the Bristow City Council approved collective bargaining agreements with the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 141, and the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local No. 3613, covering fiscal years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027. Councilmember Judd Johns moved approval and Councilmember Jeff Roberts seconded; the motions passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
Council minutes record that the agreements were authorized for execution and that the council also authorized the hiring of a Public Works employee following the executive-session personnel discussion. The personnel hire (Chirs Harjo) was approved with a six-month probationary period and a starting rate of $14.00 per hour.
