The Bristow City Council voted unanimously May 4 to award two major construction contracts for Saint Francis Bristow Hospital. The council accepted McIntosh Services’ sole bid of $1,698,877.00 for HVAC units and installation and authorized the mayor to execute the construction contract.
City Attorney Beth Anne Childs told the council that the low roof bidder, BlackOak, was found non-responsive and recommended awarding the roof-replacement contract to the next responsive bidder, Atwell Roofing. The council approved Atwell Roofing’s bid of $691,716.00; council members recorded aye on a roll-call vote. Bids submitted for the roof ranged as high as $1,153,300.00, and the council said the awards will allow hospital facility work to proceed this construction season.
