Board hears reassurance on enrollment stability as ADM improves

Board President Cheryl Mango-Paget asked whether the district was in a better fiscal position because Average Daily Membership (ADM) numbers had improved. Erin Tutay told the board the ADM "had been more stable and that she felt very confident that staff were doing a good job at keeping numbers up and keeping up with data entry." She said the district is in a position to maintain a contingency fund for emergencies.
Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen emphasized that future revenue remains dependent on enrollment and that principals are actively working to support student health and enrollment. The board noted concern about the potential for a year without State Student Revenue (SSR) and discussed contingency planning in light of ADM trends. No formal actions were taken on enrollment policy at the meeting.
