The Commission placed Community Power discussions on hold at its May 28 meeting while awaiting rate announcements from Eversource and the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire (CPCNH) expected in June.
Commission members noted that forthcoming rates are likely to reach parity between the incumbent utility and community power options, and said they will revisit the issue after rate-setting is completed. No motions or formal direction were taken at this meeting.
The CPCNH arrangement was already referenced in the REC-brokering discussion for the Chubbuck Road project, and commissioners signaled continued monitoring rather than immediate enrollment or switching of municipal meters.
