Board discusses using Impact Aid and district funds for HVAC retrofits and capital needs

Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen told the board Impact Aid revenue "had almost doubled from the previous year" after district work with chapter houses and receipt of Impact Aid funds. The board requested follow-up from Business Services on liquidations related to federal emergency funds (the transcript uses "ESSR"; the district should confirm whether this indicates ESSER funds) so the board can see available balances and planned capital uses.
Tutay and Dirksen emphasized that spending plans will be coordinated with enrollment trends and capital prioritization; the board did not adopt a formal capital project at the meeting.
