Armstrong County commissioners approve routine finance, personnel and contract items; set next meeting for Aug. 6

The Armstrong County Board of Commissioners convened July 16, 2026, and approved the minutes from the July 2 meeting and routine administrative items, including purchase orders and personnel transactions. Commissioner Anthony G. Shea moved to approve the minutes; Commissioner Pat Fabian seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
The board acknowledged purchase orders for the week of July 7 totaling $27,505.94 and for the week of July 14 totaling $2,832.63. Chief Clerk Karen Notto made the purchase-order recommendations that the board approved on motions by Shea and seconded by Fabian. The meeting record shows unanimous approval on all recorded motions. The board also approved personnel transactions submitted for July 16, 2026.
The commissioners adopted Proclamation #2026-17 recognizing the Elderton District Volunteer Fire Company’s 75th anniversary and adopted Resolution #2026-17 to submit a CFA DCED multimodal grant application. The board approved a series of agreements and contracts with private and nonprofit providers, and heard an update from Orphans of the Storm about construction of a new facility in Kittanning. The meeting adjourned at 9:25 a.m.; the next meeting was scheduled for Aug. 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
