Directors report highlights preschool graduation, hires and park projects

Staff noted the Beach Court resurfacing work that began in May was almost complete and that a ribbon‑cutting was planned for early June.
The department said it will welcome 52 new summer hires for initial training this weekend and that 75 summer staff will complete camp training the week of June 7. Staff also announced Miles Lawrence has been hired as the Wildwood Schoolmates site coordinator and highlighted continuing work on batting cage and other facility projects.
Commissioners were reminded that council budget hearings are scheduled in early and mid‑June and that meeting minutes from the previous meeting will be considered at the next commission meeting.
