Williamson Road remains delayed pending a right‑of‑way study to resolve portions of the route on private property near Courthouse Road; once right‑of‑way is secured, VDOT expects rural‑rustic construction next season. VDOT said county telefee funds currently total about $162,000 and the plan anticipates roughly $33,000 in annual telefee accruals over the six‑year plan. In the plan’s final year there is a small unallocated balance of about $11,000.
The VDOT rep outlined several safety projects: sidewalk ADA ramp work inside Crewe, two unsignalized intersection improvements (Spainville/Old Richmond and Turkey Island/Seller Creek), and sinusoidal edge rumble strips planned for Route 360 to reduce run‑off‑road crashes. The board gave consensus to publish a May 15 public hearing on the draft plan; VDOT will read the plan into the record at that hearing.
