MRA reports Bryan Bridal trail work nearly complete; staff change announced

The MRA representative reported that the Bryan Bridal trail restoration in the wilderness area is well underway and should be completed by the end of the month, opening the final piece of trail closed by Storm Helene. They said the project "has been funded for the most part by a grant from the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina" and that donations made up the remainder; the speaker characterized the grant covering about two-thirds of the cost.
The representative also noted that a colleague, Tracy, will retire at the end of the year and that MRA will name another person to represent the organization on the committee when that occurs. They asked committee members to raise any questions about the MRA work and thanked volunteers who assisted on land-care tasks in the Lookout-to-Community Center section.
