The Treasurer reported $8,723 in new donations, roughly $14,070 in recent expenses (mostly for Flat Creek Crossing), materials charges of $7,500 and $6,250 paid to Wheeler Grading. They said a $3,000 town budget infusion appears in the budget and the committee is expecting "$40,000 back from parks and rec" pending submission of invoices and proof of payment; those reimbursements will be 50 percent. Given expenses and expected reimbursements, the Treasurer estimated about $66,000 could realistically be available to work with going forward.
Committee members also discussed additional damage from Storm Helene near the Flat Creek Crossing site — undercut banks and fallen trees that affect safety and access — and said a grant proposal has been made to address creek-bank repair upstream of the crossing. The Treasurer emphasized careful pacing of expenditures so available funds do not deplete faster than reimbursements arrive.
