School Board approves $1.22 million in payments, accepts personnel changes and donations

The Consent Calendar included approval of prior meeting minutes; authorization of payments totaling $1,218,623.34; acceptance of personnel actions including the retirement of Lynn Schulz (District Office computer technician) effective June 12, 2025 after 32 years of service; resignations effective June 10, 2025 for Lindsay Galli (Special Education Teacher at FES) and Dan Hillgartner (Administrative Intern at PVE); and staffing assignments such as Olivia Baaten (1.0 FTE Science Teacher at OHS) and Dana Handrow (.4 FTE Speech and Language Teacher at FES). The board also approved an OHS field trip to the Wisconsin State FFA Convention, June 9'025 to June 12'025, and accepted multiple donations — including $1,000 gifts from the Oregon Masonic Lodge and the Wisconsin Masonic Lodge, and a $500 gift from the Oregon Brooklyn Lions Club — plus cultural donations (traditional Hmong cloth and framing) for display at FES.
Board President Troy Pankratz thanked donors and noted the board's appreciation for retiring staff. The board approved the full consent slate with members Dr. Lokuta, Ms. Garrison, Mr. Hensal, Ms. Wright and Mr. Pankratz voting in favor.
