The board approved the 2024–25 301 performance plans for District AOI Coordinator Emily Morton and for Vera Baron, whose work will focus on developing testing tools for the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC). Dave Dirksen reviewed the Morton projects and Baron’s JDC plan and confirmed that completed forms will be routed to Business Services to justify 301 fund distribution.
When President Mango-Paget asked whether the JDC instruments would be evidence-based, Dirksen said Baron will develop them from scratch and will conduct research to ensure they meet standards, with the expectation that instruments may be modified once implemented. "Ms. Baron will develop them from scratch, but she would do a lot of research to ensure that the tests were evidence-based and met standards," Dirksen said in the meeting minutes. The minutes do not include detailed timelines or budget lines for the testing tools; implementation and validation are to be handled as part of the 301 deliverables.
