At the special meeting the Cooper City Commission took roll-call votes on two resolutions with the Broward Sheriff's Office. Resolution 25-65 (fire services) passed 4-1. Resolution 25-66 (police services) also passed 4-1. Both approvals were made with the caveat that the final contract language would be finalized by the City Manager and City Attorney and confirmed with BSO command staff and counsel.
Commissioners and the mayor recorded votes on the record during the call: for each resolution the tally recorded four yes votes and one no vote. Commissioners asked staff to provide budget-vs-actual reporting and to finalize the documentation required under the contracts before execution.
