Primary Health Care reports rising uninsured patients, ARPA funds nearly spent

Stephany Balow, Chief Administrative Officer for Primary Health Care (PHC), told the Board April 21 that PHC is serving a larger share of uninsured patients than in prior years, reporting that "Uninsured patients has increased to 57% due to Medicaid changes."
Balow also reported on program changes in dental services and staffing and said PHC’s American Rescue Plan Act funding is nearly exhausted, with "approximately $8,000.00 remaining," and that the ARPA funding "has been instrumental in expanding access to care in Story County." The Board took the report as information; no funding action was taken at the meeting.
