Borough Manager Cindy Wells used the miscellaneous updates portion of the meeting to list several near‑term items for the council calendar. She said a public hearing on a proposed zoning ordinance amendment will be held at the Sept. 16 meeting and will be advertised as required; she also said council will vote on an amendment to the parking ordinance that will be advertised in accordance with notice rules.
Wells also listed a meeting with council members to present health insurance plans on Sept. 25, free Community Emergency Response Team training Sept. 27–29, and the Erie County Firefighters Association safety awards dinner on Sept. 27. She reported the borough opted not to advertise for towing ordinance bids and asked council to attend the Devereaux Day kickoff tied to Erie County Planning on Sept. 13. The manager’s remarks were recorded as part of routine announcements and no formal votes were taken on these items at this meeting.
