Committee members noted concerns about applicant attendance but agreed the application could be considered based on materials on record. A committee member moved to approve the request, the motion was seconded and the vote passed. Tanner Newman reminded the committee and the public that permitting and certificate-of-occupancy work remains — all building, landscaping and historic-preservation requirements must be completed before final occupancy. "All this would say is that, yes, you can proceed with this type of use at this location, but every other code requirement is still applicable," staff said.
