Department staff described the donation as a hotel‑style machine that can generate roughly 500–700 pounds of ice daily and estimated a typical retail value near $6,500. Commissioners thanked the donors and the departments for securing the gifts; both motions carried by unanimous voice votes.
Both donations are routine acceptance items; the police department will allocate the grant funds for patrol equipment and the fire department will place the ice machine at Station 1 to support cooling, rehab and public events.
