Winthrop board sets hearing timeline and signals preference for in-person testimony

Members discussed meeting formats and many favored an in-person hearing over hybrid arrangements for testimonial fairness. Mark and others said hybrid testimony can be awkward and that being together in the room improves the hearing process. "I don't think it works. I don't think it works. I mean, like, the problem I just had... it's just not fair to the — I think you just you gotta be in a room together," one member said while describing recent Zoom difficulties.
