The Winthrop Board of Assessment Review elected Mark Corsi as its chair after a nomination by Dan and a second from Amanda. Anthony, the town manager, called for a vote and the members raised hands in favor; no members opposed.
The board then turned to planning for a poverty-abatement appeal the council previously decided. Anthony confirmed he had distributed the case packet to board members and said he would reach out to the appellant's counsel, Pine Tree Legal, to confirm hearing dates. "So, Mark, congratulations. You're the, you're the board chair," Anthony said after the vote.
Board members emphasized that the chair will preside over questions and the hearing procedure. The board scheduled a procedural meeting at 3 p.m. on the 17th to adopt a short, publicly available procedure before the hearing.
