County approves multiple agreements and a $49,200 EMPG grant; election-wage resolution also adopted

At the June 2 meeting the board approved a series of administrative and intergovernmental items including an election-judge wage resolution, a Secure Rural Schools fund resolution, a federal EMPG grant and several local agreements.
County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson explained Resolution 26-06-052 to set election judges’ wages, mileage and training payments under Wyoming Statutes 22-8-113, -114 and -116; the board approved the resolution unanimously. County Treasurer Katie Araas presented Resolution 26-06-041 authorizing use and apportionment of funds received under Title III of the Federal Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act; the board adopted that resolution unanimously after a public hearing with no speakers. The board also approved the 25-EMPG-SHE-GC25 grant award agreement with the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, covering $49,200 in salary, benefits and travel for the Emergency Management Coordinator. Additionally, the board approved an MOU between Sheridan County Emergency Management and Sheridan County School District #2, a lease with ARINC Incorporated for airport equipment space, and License Agreement 2612LA with Powder River Energy Corporation for an underground conductor crossing at County Road 195 (Coal Creek Road); all passed on unanimous votes.
