The Village of Whitelaw Utility Committee on Aug. 3 approved the July 6 meeting minutes and authorized payment of vouchers totaling $16,653.36. Clerk/Treasurer Sheena Kocourek presented vouchers including Xylem/Flight Pump for $12,038.20, Crane Engineering for $3,253.83, Badger Labs for $565.00 and others; a May pump order was noted.
Committee members discussed an insurance claim for a June 10 lightning strike at the treatment plant. The insurance claim was closed with a payment of $13,988.83 to cover pump and motor damage; the minutes report an uncovered portion of $5,647.00 for service calls and repairs. Trustees voted to pay the presented vouchers; the committee did not alter the insurance outcome and asked Public Works Director Jerry Linsmeier to verify pump installation plans.
