At its Dec. 12, 2024 meeting, the Floodwood Public School District WBWF Committee focused on finalizing SMART goals for the 2024–25 school year. Members agreed to update goal language and metrics; specifically, the committee asked Principal Amanda Fjeld to research specific CTE-related goals to add to the district objective "All Students are College and Career Ready by Graduation." Superintendent Sue Hoeft and Principal Fjeld were asked to examine data obtained for "Sabers" and to consider whether a learning assessment could help determine appropriate goal targets.
Committee members flagged the recently adopted standard, "Prepare Students to be Lifelong Learners," as lacking a clear, measurable target and requiring additional work. No formal vote was recorded; the committee set assignments for staff to return with data and proposal options. The committee indicated the Organizational Meeting in January 2025 will set the next steps and scheduling.
