Commissioners award East Park boat ramp replacement to Ex Cat Construction at $40,095.30

Parks Director Kass Miller opened the only bid submitted and told commissioners the bidder met the project specifications; Commissioner Terry Scott moved to accept and award the contract and Commissioner Becky Reimer seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The project is included in the Parks Department's 2025 Capital Improvement Plan and was budgeted at $60,000 for the year. The agenda packet notes staff previously rejected an over-budget bid, revised specifications and re-solicited the work; the package also required standard insurance, warranty and K.S.A. compliance provisions in the contract documents.
