Harvey County commissioners approve routine business, award East Park boat ramp contract

The Harvey County Board of Commissioners met Oct. 14 and completed a set of routine administrative actions, including the swearing-in of Amy Perkins as county treasurer and approval of warrant checks totaling $254,075.93.
County Administrator Kevin Frymire told the board that the county completed a transition to a new phone system and updated the door access badge system; he said several departments have begun moving to the Pine Street facility. Assistant County Administrator and Finance Director Shannon Kingsley presented September sales-tax figures showing month-to-date collections down about 0.75% but year-to-date collections up about 1.75% compared with the same period last year. The board also approved a bid award for an East Park boat ramp project, discussed an RFP for detention-center medical services that will be reposted, and adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
