The Sheridan County staff meeting on June 1 opened with commissioners approving the presented vendor warrants and authorizing county payroll for June.
At the start of the meeting the chair presented warrant packets and a commissioner moved to approve. ‘‘All those in favor, please signify by saying aye,’’ the chair said; multiple commissioners answered ‘‘Aye’’ and the chair said the motion carries. Later the chair called on Deb Ottowa, identified as the Sheridan County financial coordinator, to explain the payroll schedule for June; Ottowa described staggered payroll dates and staff asked the commission to authorize release of funds so the county clerk could complete payroll distributions. A commissioner moved to authorize the release of monies; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The approvals were routine and procedural; the commission also handled related housekeeping later in the meeting, including approval to replace staff in the assessor’s office and limited, short-term flexibility for office hours while several employees attend training next week. No additional fiscal detail beyond the motion language was discussed during the meeting.
The commission adjourned at 09:50.
